There are some ways in which her life has been like that of Harry Potter

Rowling was unhappy as a child.

She felt worried and insecure when she was young. Her family moved very often.

One way to forget her unhappiness was by writing. She called the story “Rabbit.”

It was full of interesting characters, including a large bee called Miss Bee.

She first showed the imagination that would lead her later to write the Harry Potter books.

Her life as a foreigner in Portugal may have caused her to feel different form others.

It is easy to see how Rowling could sympathize with Harry’s difference form ordinary people.
