Once you have entered the catalog you may begin searching as a guest. Students and Faculty are encouraged to sign in so they can utilize all of the patron features. **You can not place holds, create lists or access your records without signing in.** Once you have entered the catalog you may begin searching as a guest.

MTMS students and teachers should use the username and password they have been assigned to log onto the school server.

With the DESTINY system you can: Search for materials by keyword, title, author, topic, or series. See what materials are available. Place holds on books you would like to check out. Rate the books you have read.

There are many ways to search the catalog. To see the top 10 books checked out this year click on the Top 10 button. Subject Series Title Author Keyword

SEARCH RESULTS The screen will show all the results of your search Notice the results tell you that there is “2 of 2 available” – that means we own 2 copies and they are both checked in. For each title the location of the material and other limited information is listed. To find more detailed information on the title you can click “details”

The Title Details page lists all the information provided by the publisher for the title, including a summary, publisher information, reading level information when available, awards and additional information about the material. The Title Detail Page is also where patrons who have logged in can place books on hold by clicking the Hold It! button. From the Title Detail page, patrons can also access the Reviews page, by clicking on the Reviews tab. This is the section where patrons can rate the title from 0 to 5 stars.

Clicking on the book cover will open the Title Peek program which will give you summary information and reviews from educational literary journals.

Reviews section In the Reviews section patrons can rate books using the 5 star system by clicking on the Add Review button.

Students and teachers are encouraged to rate books and Destiny will show the average rating for each title.

Tips and Special Features To find out information on what books you have checked out and what holds you have placed click on the My Info tab.
