Warren County County Government

Warren County at a glance Established in 1797 It is one of 120 counties in Kentucky Population: about 99,000. Area: 545 square miles.

Fiscal Court Fiscal Court is the name given to the county legislature and governing body of Warren County. Each county in Kentucky has a Fiscal Court. The Fiscal Court works closely with the city of Bowling Green.

Judge-Executive Mike Buchanon He is a voting member of the county government. He is in charge of the Fiscal Court. The judge works closely with the mayor of Bowling Green too. He is elected every four years. He can be elected as many times as people want him.

Magistrates Warren County is split into 6 districts. There are 6 magistrates elected to the Warren County Fiscal Court.

Local Courts The county courthouse is in the City of Bowling Green. The courts enforce the local laws.

County Attorney Amy Milliken She is an elected official. She is the legal advisor for the Fiscal Court. She also enforces laws in court.
