THE TEAM PROGRAMME MEDIA GUIDE

As a delivery partner of The Prince’s Trust Team programme, we understand that you need to raise awareness of the programme in the local media to help with recruitment.

* We have provided two press release templates – one for Team recruitment and one to raise awareness of the Team’s community project. Please remember to use these when you want to send anything out to the regional press.

* For all press releases, please use our key messages – as we need to use the same facts and figures across all of our communications, so that the public have a clear understanding of what the Team programme is.

KEY MESSAGES →The Prince’s Trust Team programme gives unemployed young people the skills and confidence to find a job →Three in four young people on Prince’s Trust schemes move into work, education or training →During the 12-week course, young people get involved with fundraising, helping communities and building their skills to help them find work → The Prince’s Trust will help 55,000 disadvantaged young people this year, giving them the confidence and skills to turn their lives around

* All press releases written by you must be sent through to your local PR Officer at The Prince’s Trust before they go out. This is because we need to check all messaging for consistency, as well as being aware of all media activity across the UK.

* It is also extremely important that The Prince’s Trust PR team is told about any incoming media requests that you may receive. This applies to any enquiries for staff or young people to be involved in any media activity including print, online, radio or TV news or other broadcast opportunities. This is essential in order to manage the reputation of The Trust and fully support any young people through the process.
