What is APRU? Formed in 1997, the Association of Pacific Rim Universities (APRU) is a consortium of 36 leading research universities in the Pacific Rim. APRU aims to foster education, research and enterprise thereby contributing to the economic, scientific, and cultural advancement in the Pacific Rim.

APRUNet Mission APRUNet aims to assist in the development of advanced Internet capabilities among APRU universities and APEC economies in collaboration with strategic partners. The main goal is to develop teaching and research applications that utilize advanced Internet technologies, e.g., distance learning, virtual conferences, telemedicine, remote sensing.
