Irondequoit Soccer Club Coach Education Session Technical games 4/12/2006

Reminders for training …  No lines, no laps, no lectures…  Pick one topic per session  Be sure topic is age appropriate and inclusive  Create realistic/dynamic situations  Finish all sessions with a game  Professionalism…  Players  Coaches

-Free dribble/short pass/takeover -Remove all but one ball. Closest person to 1st attacker tries to take ball and continue game. -Pass out of bounds = 3 pushups or situps.

-Pass and follow -2 touches -Pass to anyone -Pass to anyone other than your color -Pass in sequence -Pass to your color only

- Two up, one back -Timed with one ball -Add second ball to race within circle -Add second circle to race each other. -Switch directions.

-Each group with a ball, dribbling/passing/trading within own box. -On command -Group switch boxes, Individual switch boxes regroup… -Leave balls, take balls -Use as many players as available

-5v2 competition. -5 passes = 1 pt, split =2 points -30 second games

-5v2 -When Yellow wins, they play to their side. 2 blue players enter to win it back. -If D puts it out, they leave and 2 new D enter -If A puts it out, ball changes possession. -5 passes = 1 pt. Play to 10

-3v3+1 -Score by passing into target at end. Keep possession after scoring and attack other end -Target must play across to other target after receiving. -May not pass back to target for support. -May not cut out pass from target to target.

-3v2 in each half scoring thru both sides of goal. -Must have 2 D in your half at all times. Players can switch. -If D wins, they play to their team on other side.

-4v4 can score on any goal, no direction -4v4 directional score on either goal -Play up to 3, next group of 4 plays in goal

-Field is short and narrow -3v3 or 4v4 plus sniper(s) -Snipers can score at any goal at any time. -GK changes after every goal. Everyone takes a turn -Game does not stop for change
