EXAMPLES (CHAPTER 3)  Page 1- -> Represents radioactivity, death, cancer, danger, the end soon to come. Just like when someone is expose to radioactive material, it takes time before death gets them. A slow, timing, and painful death. The way society is seen in Watchmen.

Represents Jon, who is both a survivor who is put under a serious pressure to come to the aid of the “world” (United States) PAGE 2 * CARTOON CHARACTER

Chapter 3 (Cartoon Girl)  Symbolizes Laurie Juspeczyk and how she gave so much love to John Osterman, but he couldn’t giver her the love she desire back.

 It is a reflection of Laurie Juspeczyk’s own feelings toward Jon at the moment. She is remembering how things used to be, and how in the good old days, things were great. The nostalgia is flooding back to Laurie as she runs off to Dan’s house

THIS ISLAND EARTH “THEY’RE NOT PAYING ME ENOUGH TO HANDLE MONSTERS FROM OUTTA SPACE!”
