Check with your college campus to see what other financial aid programs they offer. A new law for the school year allows campuses of the University of California and California State University to offer student loans to AB 540 eligible students. If you are offered a loan, you will have to pay it back even if you do not complete your schooling. Check with your campus on the terms of any student loan.
