What is it? Collaborative Initiative –Part B, SPDG, IHEs and AUs –SSN Advisory and CATF Improving educational services and outcomes Provide model sites Field placements for teacher candidates Professional Development and Coaching 1 Autism Site and 1 SSN Site per region

2009 – 2010 COMASP Sites

Have agreement among all team members to participate in the project Application prepared and signed by all team members including the principal and special education director Administrative Units / districts need to have a minimum of 3 identified students at the site Send to CDE by due date August 1, 2010 The Application Process

Information and application is on line at Autism Website SSN Website Schools will be chosen based on their match with the criteria Site visits will be conducted before making a final decision The Application Process

Criteria We are looking for schools that have: Quality programs using evidence based practices – individual or classroom School Wide PBS RtI process in place Inclusionary model Time for collaboration Parent involvement

Expectations School staff and CDE will evaluate program using Quality Indicators Implementation Plan is developed CDE will provide consultation and coaching as needed by the staff during regular visits Signed agreement –School will provide time out of building and subs to attend trainings
