Ancient Egyptian Artifacts

Artifacts are old objects that are historical. For instance Egypt is famous for its artifacts that were found in ancient pyramids. Things that were found were like art and statues and jewelry. In our slide show presentation We will show you a few of the simple artifacts that have been found and just some general information. All About Artifacts…

People In Ancient Egypt made art, and elaborate sculptures to be remembered. They made sculptures of Gods and Pharaohs that were important. There was a God named Bes that People had sculptures of To protect and bring joy to their house and family.

The Statue Of Anubis By Kelsy  Anubis was the main god of embalming. He was also the protector of the mummies in the dangerous transformation from between death rebirth in the afterlife. Often he was seen as and human with the head of a jackal and sometimes as an entire jackal. In ancient times the habitat of a jackal was the places where the Egyptians burned the dead. Most likely this was the main reason that Egyptians came to see Anubis a guardian of the dead in their burial grounds.

King Nebkheperura Tutankhamen still to this day remains the most famous of all the Pharaohs in Egypt. But he lived for a short period of time and was the most insignificant ruler during a changing part in history. The king died in his late teens and he remained at rest in the valley of kings for over 3,300 years. All that changed in 1922 when Tutankhamen’s Tombs was discovered by a British Egyptologist named Howard Carter. He was excavating on behave of his friend Lord Carnavon. Carter had been searching for this tomb for many years. Carnavon had decided that he has spend to much money on the expedition with not enough reward. They were about to close the expedition but the next day Carter had discovered Tutankhamen’s Tomb! To this day Tutankhamen's remains are still in his tomb.

They found gold rings Outside of Akhenaten’s Royal Tomb at El-Amarna They made intricately designed fish charms that were given to children, Possibly to protect them from drowning. There was an intricately designed pure gold earplug found in the royal tomb at Armana. They also found a delicately Designed circlet on he mummy’s (Tutankhamen)’s head. Jewelry and Charms
