Christ’s Death, Resurrection and Ascension

Christ’s Death 2 Corinthians 5:21, “He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.”

Luke 9:22, “The Son of Man must suffer many things and be rejected by the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed and be raised up on the third day.”

Mark 10:34, “They will mock Him and spit on Him, and scourge Him and kill Him, and three days later He will rise again.”

Mark 15:29-30, “Those passing by were hurling abuse at Him, wagging their heads, and saying, “Ha! You who are going to destroy the temple and rebuild it in three days, save Yourself, and come down from the cross!””

Christ’s Death Jesus’ death resulted in a Trichotomous separation.

Luke 24:4-7, “Then two men (angels) suddenly stood near them in dazzling clothing; and as the women were terrified and bowed their faces to the ground, the angels said to them, “Why do you seek the living One among the dead? He is not here, but He has risen. Remember how He spoke to you while He was still in Galilee, saying that the Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.”

After His resurrection He spent 40 Days on earth: John 20:1 - 21:25; Acts 1:3 And then ascended to heaven: Acts 1:6-11.

Mark 16:19, “So then, when the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God.”

Rom 8:34, “Christ Jesus is He who died, yes, rather who was raised, who is at the right hand of God, who also intercedes for us.”
