King Tutankhamun

Born BC Ancient Egypt Died BC Ancient Egypt

King Tut lived in Ancient Egypt.

He had a small life and nothing special except the treasures that everyone thought were lost or stolen were still in his tomb.

The Tomb King Tut’s tomb is what made him famous the only reason because he didn’t do much he started being a king at 9 and died at night and he is known for his tomb with all his treasures still inside after all those years.

Akhenaten Akhenaten is the king’s father they found this when they took a DNA test and everything was a match it was very difficult to find a sample but when they did they were connected.

Exhibit King Tut has a famous exhibit Its been on a world tour for years 2012 was its final tour and now it will never leave Egypt again

Discovery of tomb His tomb was robbed at least twice in antiquity, but based on the items taken were including perishable oils and perfumes and the evidence of restoration of the tomb after the intrusions, it seems clear that these robberies took place within several months at most of the initial burial. Eventually the location of the tomb was lost because it had come to be buried by stone chips from subsequent tombs, either dumped there or washed there by floods. In the years that followed, some huts for workers were built over the tomb entrance, clearly not knowing what lay beneath. Inn 1922 After working for five years in the Valley of the Kings and finding almost nothing, Howard Carter was progressing on his final season when he made the discovery. On November 4, 1922, while clearing away some ancient huts, one of Howard Carter's workmen found a hidden step near the base of the tomb of Rameses VI. Though he hoped it led to an ancient, royal tomb, it could just as easily have been a royal cache or, much worse, empty - pilfered in antiquity. But that was not to be. Carter had discovered not just an unknown ancient Egyptian tomb, but one that had lain nearly undisturbed for over 3,000 years. Pharaoh Tutankhamun, the boy king, was found within his nearly intact tomb.
