 Completed in 23 BCE.  His tomb was started before he even took power because he wanted to show that he intended to be buried in Rome.  Built on the Campus Martius.  During ancient times it looked like a mound with rings of trees growing on it.  This tomb was made in the style of early Roman settlers.  A large statue of Augustus once topped the mound.
