GURC-SW offers programs, courses & workshops for Deaf/Hard of Hearing People, their Families, and the Professionals who work with them. GURC-SW is the only Regional Center that offers a agreement program to take ACC classes for credit & transfer. Serves an 8-State region: Utah, Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Louisiana

PROJECT ACCESS A WORKSHOP DESIGNED TO HELP FACULTY UNDERSTAND DEAF CULTURE AND ADAPT THEIR TEACHING STYLE TO FOSTER BETTER LEARNING FOR DEAF AND HARD-OF-HEARING STUDENTS, AS WELL AS ALL OTHER STUDENTS. WORKING TOGETHER A WORKSHOP DESIGNED TO HELP EMPLOYERS UNDERSTAND DEAF CULTURE, COMMUNICATE EFFECTIVELY WITH DEAF AND HARD-OF-HEARING EMPLOYEES, AND DEVELOP THE SENSITIVITY AND SKILLS FOR COLLEAGUES TO WORK TOGETHER SUCCESSFULLY.
Its purpose is to provide techniques and strategies to enhance access to instruction for students who are deaf or hard of hearing and are in a mainstream classroom
