Post-9/11 GI Bill Eligibility – EVERYONE with aggregate active duty service on or after 9/11 – Honorable service – ROTC scholarship / Academy grads (after 4 and 5 years, respectively) – MGIB participants can convert – VEAPers – Vietnam era rollover to MGIB – MGIB disenrollees – ECLRP participants after first enlistment – NCS enlistees

Post-9/11 GI Bill Service – Honorable At least 90 days (after basic and tech training) At least 30 days if separated for disability

Post-9/11 GI Bill Benefit for a Veteran – Tuition & fees not to exceed the in-state undergraduate rate of the most expensive State college or university in the state where veteran attends school Paid directly to school by the Veterans Administration – Annual $1000 stipend (pro-rated by term) for books & supplies – Monthly housing stipend Based on E5 w/ dependents BAH School location determines rate Not payable if enrolled in distance learning program – Half time or less – Tuition & fees, pro-rated annual stipend, no housing stipend

Post-9/11 GI Bill Benefit for Active Duty Personnel – Tuition & fees based on course tuition – Top Up – Does not pay annual or housing stipends Other Benefits – Tutorial assistance for courses in which enrolled, max $1200 per year – One exam for license or certification, max $2000 – One time $500 travel/ relocation allowance; limited to specific rural areas – Yellow Ribbon program where benefits are supplemented through school scholarship program; program not at all schools
