Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps – Prepares you to become an Air Force Officer while simultaneously working on your Bachelors Degree – Offers growth, opportunity and the ability to succeed Officer Training Program for College Students  Oldest commissioning source  Other options include:  Air Force Academy (USAFA) / Officer Training School (OTS) There are scholarship opportunities for high school students & In-College students  Students may apply starting June 1 of junior year for HSSP  AFROTC.com is the only way to apply What is Air Force ROTC? High School Scholarship Program (HSSP)  3-4 year scholarships available  Very competitive  Students can apply at  Types of scholarships  Type 1: Full tuition  Type 2: Up to $18,000 per year  Type 7: Up to in state rate per year  Book allowance: $600 per year  Monthly, tax free stipend  Deadline to apply: December 1, 2014 for online application Freshman Option: Try the program for a year, no commitment or repayment of scholarship money Scholarships for High School Seniors

Basic Scholarship Eligibility Be a U.S. Citizen prior to scholarship activation Graduate from High School Age 17 by scholarship activation; no older than 31 by Dec 31 of commissioning year No previous full-time college enrollments (joint high school/college programs are an exception) Cannot be a single parent (handled on a case by case basis) Meet physical fitness standards

Academic Eligibility Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (only 9 th -11 th grades considered) Minimum SAT score of 1180 or Minimum ACT score of 26 Writing scores are not included
