Wildlife and Nepal  Nepal embarked upon modern era of Wildlife Conservation with the enactments of National Parks and Wildlife Conservation (NPWC) Act in 2029(1973).  Established in 1980, Under Department of Forest.  Established DNPWC for Wildlife conservation with network National Parks - National Parks -10 Wildlife Reserves - Wildlife Reserves - 3 Conservation Reserve - 6 Conservation Reserve - 6 Hunting Reserve and - 1 Hunting Reserve and - 1 Buffer Zone in and around Parks/Reserves - 12 Buffer Zone in and around Parks/Reserves - 12
