They reach a bridge

it is dark but they have 1 flashlight

The tiger is 17 minutes away

If they can all cross the bridge before the tiger arrives they will be safe.

but the bridge can only support 2 people at the same time.

And as it is dark one person must carry the flashlight

Malachy being somewhat hindered by his leather trousers will take 10 minutes to cross the bridge.

10 min Keith has never been the quickest, he will take 5 minutes to cross the bridge.

10 min 5 min Leo, always a bit of a mover, will take 2 minutes to cross the bridge.

10 min 5 min 2 min Paul, as fast on his feet as he is with the ladies, can cross the bridge in 1 minute.

All must be across in 17 min. Maximum of 2 people on the bridge at one time. They need the flashlight to cross the bridge.
