Problem Statement Customers: ISU CSG (Lee Harker and Jason Boyd) Lock-and-Key or combination locks are a hassle. CSG has to pass out the combination (or a key) to each student and keep track of who has what locker. Combinations can be forgotten Keys can be lost In order to increase safety, equipment access needs to be restricted to the students who have received training on that specific piece of equipment. Currently in Coover 1301, students have access to a drill press and band saw. The system design will need to be expandable.

What we have done so far… We have selected a servo to use in our unlocking circuit rather than using a solenoid. We have written the code in order to read the ISU cards. The LCD display displays the card digits We have been working with the transmitter and receiver circuitry. We have completed the first draft of the project plan.
