1 Fruit for the Caterpillar Based on the book The Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle

2 He started to look for some food. A caterpillar popped out of an egg. He was very hungry.

3 He found a nice red apple. But he was still very hungry. He ate through the round apple.

4 He found a yellow banana. He peeled the skin and ate through the banana. But he was still very hungry.

5 He found two red cherries. He ate through one round cherry. But he was still very hungry.

6 He found a green fig. He ate through the fig. It had many seeds inside. But he was still very hungry.

7 He found a bunch of purple grapes. He ate through one juicy grape. But he was still very hungry.

8 He found two green kiwis. He ate through one kiwi. But he was still very hungry.

9 He found a yellow lemon. He ate through the lemon, but it was very sour. And he was still very hungry.

10 He found a yellow melon. He ate through the melon. This was much better than the lemon. But he was still very hungry.

11 But he was still very hungry. He found a round orange. The skin was very hard and orange. He ate through the orange.

12 He found a nice green pear. But he was still very hungry. He ate through the pear.

13 But he was still very hungry. He ate through the juicy plum. He found a nice purple plum.

14 He found a small red raspberry. He ate through the soft raspberry. But he was still very hungry.

15 But he was still very hungry. He found a small red strawberry. It had many black seeds on the skin. He ate through the strawberry.

16 He found an orange tangerine. The skin was very hard like that of the orange. He ate through the tangerine. But he was still very hungry.

17 At last he found a big green water melon. He ate through the water melon. He was not hungry any more. It was red inside.

18 That night he had a tummy ache! So he built a cocoon to have a little rest.

19 He nibbled a hole in the cocoon, pushed his way out… He was a beautiful butterfly!
