Lincolnshire Co-operative Community Champions Passive members All members automatically linked to nominated charity in the area where they live Active members Members can choose their own charity online from central list INCREASE MEMBER ENGAGEMENT Wherever members shop, support will be linked to their local or chosen charity Till receipt message & in store notice board Total pot linked to dividend – 10% (£210,000 based on last year)

Lincolnshire Co-operative Community Champions Each area will select local charity Charities will change quarterly One quarter to be health related to link with Pharmacy Applications will be considered by member groups Typical quarterly amount - £500 per area (75 areas) Nominated charities Charities will have to register Once registered they can promote this to their supporters We will provide them with marketing materials No limit to amount they can raise Central charities list MAKE STRONGER LINKS BETWEEN CHARITIES & TRADING The more members spend the more the charities receive

Lincolnshire Co-operative Community Champions 4 stores surveyed before launch and 6 months after launch 56% of people surveyed thought that our profits went back to the community this represents a 7% increase since Community Champions was introduced 39% of people surveyed could name a charity we had supported unprompted this represents a 24% increase (up from 15%) in one store 54% of people could name a charity we had supported, representing a 38% increase Research

Lincolnshire Co-operative Community Champions In first 6 months: 280 charities on central list 1,100 members chose their own charity Over 300 charities applications to be nominated Raised over £114,000 Donated over £5,400 via stores for small prizes to 370 charities & community groups Facts & figures
