Hedgehog was hungry for a cake. He found a recipe. He took out the flour, the eggs and the butter. 1

Rabbit came to Hedgehog’s house. “I will help you, “said Rabbit. “Here is the recipe,” said Hedgehog. “You don’t need the recipe, I will tell you what to do” said Rabbit. 2

Rabbit put the flour, the sugar, and the butter in the bowl. ”Now we will mix it,” said Rabbit. 3

Rabbit’s arm began to hurt. The flour and the sugar were everywhere. The batter was lumpy. 4

Rabbit went home and Squirrel came to Hedgehog’s house. “ You need eggs,” said Squirrel. Squirrel cracked the eggs and put them in the bowl but the shell fell in the bowl. 5

Hedgehog and Squirrel mixed together but the batter was more lumpy. 6

Owl came to help too. “Butter the pan, and turn the oven up high, ”said Owl. 7

Squirrel and Owl went home but Hedgehog’s kitchen was messy because there were flour and sugar on the floor. And there was butter on the oven door. 8

Hedgehog dumped the batter in the garbage can. He read the recipe. First, he mixed the sugar and the butter. 9

Next, he added the eggs. Then, he added the flour and mixed everything together. 10

Hedgehog baked the cake then he cleaned the kitchen. 11

When Rabbit, Squirrel, and Owl smelled the cake; they came to Hedgehog’s house. The kitchen was clean and the cake was perfect. 12

They ate the cake and were glad to be together. 13
