Special Places Class JM Assembly WALT: Investigating places which people from all over the world regard as special. Learning about places which Christians from all over the world regard as special.

Special Places Welcome to our special gathering place. As we make the sign of the cross together, let us remember the words, written in the Gospel of St. Matthew, which Jesus spoke to his friends. In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

Special Places Response: “Let me value your special place.” In the way in which I treat your earth. Response. In the way in which I respect holy places. Response. In the way in which we gather together as your friends. Response. In the time I give to speak and listen to you. Response.

Special Places BETHLEHEMNAZARETHJERUSALEM

Dear Lord, Thank you for the special places in our school, the lovely grassy field for playing on at lunch time and for special events like Sports Day, the quiet places in our school, the hall at Mass and Assembly times. Help us always to use these places well and keep them clean and tidy. Lord hear us…

Special Places Lord thank you for the special places at home and in our neighbourhood, the places where we can have fun with our friends, the places we can enjoy with our families. As we look forward to the summer holidays may we enjoy these places sensibly and safely. Lord hear us…

Special Places Lord, we think about all those good people who help others to go to special places on pilgrimages such as the helpers at Lourdes. They give up their precious holidays to do this. When we are older, may we take the opportunity to do the same. Lord hear us.

Special Places Dear God, Thank you for all of the journeys to special places that people make all over the world, and have made throughout history. Thank you that there are so many special places in the world – so much to see. Thank you that pilgrims make their journeys with other people, and so make new friends as they journey together.

Special Places Special BY GORDON LAMONT Special is something I carry around A thought, a memory, hallowed ground. The football pitch, my favourite beach A special place that I can reach. When I can’t go to my special place I turn to my thoughts and let them race. They fly, and in an instant I see My special place waiting for me.
