 A grade stuff  B grade stuff  Important, must know things.

 Bodies are comprised of energy.  They may appear solid but in truth they are just impulses of energy.  When a person dies his/her energy field may retain his/her image – this may be perceived as a ghost.  This ‘ghost’ is, according to Chopra, the individual’s consciousness manifesting itself through it’s remaining energy.

 Ghosts are apparently manifestations of dead people. Evidence:  They are often seen by more than one person so they are unlikely to be hallucinations.  There have been sightings at the same place by different people at different times.

 If a ghost is not a sighting of a dead person then what are some of the other possible explanations?  Hoaxes. Pure and simple hoaxes. Sick tricks to deceive people. E.g. People wearing bed sheets.  The ‘stone tape’ theory: just as magnetic tape is able to record events and play them back, so, stones will record dramatic events and replay them in the same conditions.  Ghosts could be mistaken identity e.g. a wedding dress.  Or the power of suggestion could lead people to believe that they have seen a ghost when they in fact have not.

POSITIVENEGATIVE  A lot of people have claimed to see the dead, therefore it has a certain validity to the argument.  It can be comforting for people to believe in.  If ghosts are real, Ghostbusters is back.  Offers proof that there is an afterlife.  No scientific proof. None whatsoever. None. Zilch. Nada. Rien. Well, maybe a little, but not enough.  If ghosts were real why wouldn’t we see them all the time?  Contact with the dead (ghosts) is considered unlawful by Christianity, Islam and Judaism.

 St Paul ‘glorified body’ idea: ghosts could be this glorified body.  Dualism –ghosts may be displaced souls or summat.  Psychological factors, you may want to see someone so badly you think that you see them.
