Why do we need EIPAS? I NFORMATION T ECHNOLOGY R EDESIGN MassDEP is undertaking a comprehensive reform effort to address the fact that resources are out of alignment with its responsibilities. Agency Staffing is at levels not seen since the mid-1980s Legacy systems / architecture prevent MassDEP from implementing needed change EEA/IT resources not available to develop enterprise systems suitable to meet needs of MassDEP staff & external customers R EGULATORY R EFORM I NTERNAL R ESTRUCTURING Three Threads of MassDEP Reform Effort

What is EIPAS? Information transformation project that will advance, align, expand, and transform the manner in which EEA’s six secretariat agencies execute timely, predictable, and cost-effective business functions.
