Sam didn't have his report ready on time. He is apologizing to the teacher and wants to make it up. S: Uh..., Ms. Lin, do you have a minute? I'd like to talk to you about my report. L: OK. But I'm sure you understand today is the deadline for handing it in. S: That's what I wanted to talk to you about. I don't have it ready. I'm sorry. L: Oh? You'd better have a good reason. Where Is Your Report?

S: I was going to finish it last night, but I came home too late. L: Where did you go? S: I went to an Internet café and.... L: And you forgot all about your report. S: Please, could you give me one more day to finish it? L: Well, all right. Just make sure it won't happen again.
