Learning Concepts Notes for Teachers Notes for Parents Ants go marching Joey the ant wrangler gathers ants for people who maintain ant farms. If the Happy Valley Ant Farms, the company that Joey gathers ants for, needs ants for its customers, it calls Joey and Joey collects the ants from his farm and sends them off to the company. One day, like many days, Joey receives a call from the Happy Valley Ant Farm asking for ants. Whenever Joey has to catch ants he starts with packing himself a picnic, which usually includes a sandwich and drink, sgoes and finds himself a spot under the tree which has the most ants and waits to ants to get to the crumbs in his picnic basket. But on this day, Joey’s nephew Jimmy has come to visit him. So Joey packs a peanut butter-jelly sandwich and a liver-onion sandwich in his picnic basket for himself and his nephew and they head out to their farm to collect the ants. Joey and Jimmy reached farm, spotted the biggest tree with the most ants and settled down to eat their sandwiches It was a hot day out and as soon Joey and Jimmy finished their sandwiches, they dozed off. Normally, Joey would keep track of the ants that entered his picnic basket but today he fell asleep. And now he does not know how many ants have entered his picnic basket following the crumbs and how many have left. Could you help Joey and Jimmy now to keep track of how many ants are in their basket? Good Luck! Back Home New ActivitySaved Activity
