Did you say FIVE paragraphs?

Yes! It’s easy with the bingo, the bango, and the bongo! Let’s see how it works!

An essay is a group of paragraphs relating to one main idea An essay is a group of paragraphs relating to one main idea. The bingo, the bango, and the bongo is a method for organizing your thoughts when you write an essay.

(the bingo, the bango, the bongo) Paragraph Two – The BINGO Introduction (the bingo, the bango, the bongo) Paragraph Two – The BINGO Paragraph Three – The BANGO Paragraph Four – The BONGO Conclusion

Let’s create a real essay using the bingo, the bango, and the bongo pattern as our guide. It’s easy!

Introduction (The bingo, the bango, the bongo) Of all the holidays throughout the year, the Fourth of July is my favorite. I like the Fourth of July because we always have good food to eat, because we spend time with family, and especially because we watch colorful fireworks. The Fourth of July is truly the best holiday. Make sure students notice that the introduction includes all three reasons Stress the color coding.

Paragraph Two – The BINGO First of all, my mom cooks the best food on the Fourth of July. We always have spicy, sweet barbequed ribs or chicken. My sister’s yearly request is golden corn on the cob dripping with butter. My dad must have creamy potato salad. However, my favorite item comes at the end of the meal—juicy, red watermelon. Yes, the Fourth of July meal is the best.

Paragraph Three – The BANGO Next, it is always fun when my family gets together on the Fourth of July. Each holiday my uncles and aunts bring their families to our house. In the morning we usually go swimming in the lake behind our house or ride horses through the pasture. Afterwards, we have a big picnic with the whole family. Then my cousins and I get together for a game of baseball in the front yard. My family has a great time when we are all together.

Paragraph Four – The BONGO Finally, I love to watch fireworks on the Fourth of July. At night all of my family go downtown to the city’s annual fireworks display. We spread blankets on the cool grass and lie down facing the starry sky. Suddenly the night is filled with glory. Fingers of color explode overhead. Great booms and pops fill the night. We all watch in amazement at the beautiful sight. The fireworks are a great ending to a perfect day.

Conclusion (The bingo, the bango, the bongo) The Fourth of July is a wonderful holiday. Eating good food, being with my family, and watching the fireworks make the holiday extra special. No wonder the Fourth of July is my favorite holiday.

Prompt Write an essay explaining what you hope your future career is and why. Thesis Statement with BINGO, BANGO, and BONGO Topic Sentence for each of 3 main body paragraphs

Revise and Edit Thesis Statements My hope for my future career is to be a sonographer because it’s a very unusual career that may bring challenges, but it seems interesting, and there are a lot of scrubs to choose from. For one, it’s a very interesting career to get into. Another reason why would be because of all the cute scrubs you could get. Sonography isn’t just a cool career, but it is also challenging

Animals are getting beaten for no reason, they aren’t getting feed, and they’re being left behind to die. I want to become a vet so I can take care of animals that have gone through pain and suffering. The first thing is animals are getting beaten because their owners don’t care about them. Second, the owners of the animals are too lazy or cheap to buy them food. Last but not least, owners forget about their animals and just leave them chained up to die.

I hope that my future career is a nurse because I like to help people, you can make a difference, and you get to talk to a lot of different people. First of all, being a nurse means you get to help people get better. Next is that you could brighten up someone’s day by being the only person that might be nice to them that day. Lastly, you get to talk to people that otherwise you might not get to talk to.

I dream of my future career being a helicopter pilot. In my opinion being a helicopter pilot is such a thrilling experience. Achieving my dream of being a helicopter pilot isn’t easy. Becoming a pilot sounds like an adventure.

Being a diesel mechanic combines everything I want: money, education, and the love of cars. Money is an important thing on life and diesel mechanics make a ton of it. Besides the pay, they don’t have a long school for it. Overall is the love of trucks and cars.

My hope for my future career is to become a nurse because I would like to take care of people, help them out at their worst, and make sure they pass away peacefully. Taking care of people is what I know I’ll enjoy for the rest of my life. The next reason is because I want to help anyone who is at their worst, when they can no longer do things on their own. Last, I don’t want any of my patients to pass away sad or hurt.

For my future career, I have several different options like maybe a civil engineer, a computer software designer, or maybe a career in the military. One of my choices for my career would be to be a 3rd generation civil engineer. I have also thought about pursuing the software design field as well. Just maybe, I might decide to serve my country and join the military.
