GIRAFFE HOUSE 19 DECEMBER 2013

GIRAFFE HOUSE 19 DECEMBER 2013 Jaimee, Claire, Tracy and Ganny on a visit to the Giraffe House. It looks like this is going to become a December holiday tradition. When we got there we stopped at the picnic tables to have a drink. It was such a hot day. The girls looked so cute in their caps.

GIRAFFE HOUSE 19 DECEMBER 2013 First stop : The Meerkat area. Both Jaimee and Claire tried to throw the food over the top, but they are still too short. The Meerkat loved the food and the girls watched them eating through the windows.

GIRAFFE HOUSE 19 DECEMBER 2013 After a bathroom visit we made our way to the Giraffe camp, having to pass the various buck camps. Claire was walking along saying “Wow”. Jaimee was a little tired with the heat and the walking. Both were fascinated by the size of the buck!

GIRAFFE HOUSE 19 DECEMBER 2013 The Giraffe, just loved Ganny, he licked my head and chest, but he would not eat the food. Jaimee said that maybe he eats other stuff like grass.

GIRAFFE HOUSE 19 DECEMBER 2013 After we had fun with the giraffe, we decided to cool off in the shade before the walk back to the main area. Little faces were red from the heat and sun, so another layer of sunscreen was applied. Lots of laughter and fun was had.

GIRAFFE HOUSE 19 DECEMBER 2013 Next was to feed the Ostritch, it was a rather rude one, he just wanted the food and nothing else. Jaimee took the first feed and the silly bird knocked the food bucket right out of her hands. She was very brave. Next was Ganny’s turn.

GIRAFFE HOUSE 19 DECEMBER 2013 Then it was time for the show. The main dude showed all the different animals and let everyone have a close up look at tthem. Both Jaimee and Claire really enjoyed it.

GIRAFFE HOUSE 19 DECEMBER 2013 After the show it was time to feed the buck which Jaimee enjoyed, Claire? Not too sure just what she was thinking here.

GIRAFFE HOUSE 19 DECEMBER 2013 The last place to visit was the snake house, Jaimee told us all about how brave her Mommy was when she came here, because her Mommy held this very very big python.

GIRAFFE HOUSE 19 DECEMBER 2013 At last our visit came to an end, we had had our picnic lunch, shared with lots of flies, feed and seen all the animals and the last animals to wish a good bye were the chickens under the table where we sat just before leaving. We were hot and very tired, it has be a long, happy and interesting morning. Goodbye Giraffe House, we will see you next December holiday again
