Billion Tree Plantation Awareness and education of a greener environment To Minimize usage of plastic promotional banners and other signs in political campaigns. Advice to use alternate power, like solar and wind. Basic community responsibility awareness.

 Protest Cutting trees and promote plantation.  Stop using plastic price tags, Bags for commodities in retail stores.  Foot path facilities. 95% of roads in India are missing foot paths, and, areas of plantations around roads to decrease the damage caused by pollution.  Promote plantation awareness at schools and educational institutes as they stand to make our tomorrow.

 One of the most unique and innovative Ideas of Green India Trust organization was our “billion tree plantation”  We have started the idea, and put to work, “from seed a new plant” Growing in our nurseries are seedlings and young plants that are distributed and carefully nurtured to grow into trees of our goals.

@ MULBAGULA VILLAGE, KOLAR DISTRICT, KARNATAKA

Nellore-District, Andhra Pradesh

 Starting , we have planted Palm trees in numbers of 1,73,250 which have now sprouted to life, an achievement of our dream.

 Plants prevent natural disasters at costal regions, as a study says. we look forward to prevent any such damage, not just by the plantations at the coast lines but also by utilizing available land resources to make happen, a forest of protection.

 We have taken to planting Palm trees over the coastal line of eastern India and are looking to achieve the same throughout the entire coastal line of India.

 We call this our own coastal garden as we yearn to protect our coastal regions from natural disasters, through such plantations, taking aid from trees which prevent damage to be caused.

 We wish to achieve our goal and dreams set to plant a billion trees through constant dedication, hard work and honest motives. and it has shown to us, in result, today we stand to see a number of 6,08,569 plants as our hopes sown and growing for a greener tomorrow. A BILLION TREES !!

 From the heart of our nurseries come, seedlings and plants which we are donating door to door to homes and various institutions.

 We have distributed seedlings and plants to many a Govt. office, schools and hospitals, to be planted in their premises. The same was done with plantations at various places of religious worship like temples, mosques churches etc. also we request them to avoid burning camphor and other paraphernalia along with plastic, and educating them about avoidable use of plastic items and other ecological hazards.

 One of the foremost problems of waste disposal is that of non bio-degradable element, plastic. A toxic when subjected to dumping among degradable waste causes much damage not only to plant growth but also prevents water irrigation.  Bringing out this fact to people is one of our prime objectives to educate everyone of plastic usage and more so of its disposal.  Promoting Alternate methods and to give notice to avoidable usage.

 We are trying to bring awareness to people about the alternate usage over plastic products.  We request at various shrines and places of worship, to make do without using plastic products for the rituals.  We have humbly notified many a political campaign about their use of plastic promotional material.  We promote and educate people about using cloth and paper bags and various substitutes for their domestic needs.

 Green India Trust has organized a team to reach out to various villages and towns and has held activities involving the public, like media screening through videos, to educate them upon inculcating a Greener life. We wish to provide a visual stimulus upon the benefits of such life to promote plantations.

 Distributing Over 1,10,000 Pamphlets in various languages throughout India, to reach out to people through print, motivating them to live and be a part of environment friendly life.  pamphlets have been distributed in Several States in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and English. Suggesting them to save trees and plant trees.

 Written Letters to Various Govt. Officials holding a valuable position to the society have been sent urging them to take notice of our cause of a Green India for a beautiful and eco friendly environment.  We’ve reached out to people through the communication of today, the SMS, over 2,48,000 SMS have been sent with a thought provoking message by our organization.
