Forest Health Program Responsibilities Provide assistance to landowners of the state in the detection and control of destructive forest insects and diseases and other threats train and support field personnel in forest pest issues provide diagnostic and control support and services inspect state’s nurseries for emerging I&D issues Network with universities, and state and national agencies to stay informed of new threats, controls, and current research Aerial and ground surveys Monitor and survey for threats to NC’s forests
