WebIce A web browser based application for experiment monitoring and control Ana Gonzalez, SSRL

Contributors Penjit K. Moorhead (Boom) Scott McPhillips Jinhu Song Ken Sharp Zepu Zhang Nick Sauter (LBNL)

Objectives Integrate beamline control and data analysis tools to make it easier for users to collect good data Emphasis on remote experiment control

Current capabilities Image display (superseding the web-based image diffraction viewer) Image analysis using DISTIL Possibility to keep track of new images during data collection Autoindex with Labelit Uses DISTIL spot selection More powerful than other indexing software Refinement and integration with MOSFLM Strategy calculation and reflection overlap analysis with MOSFLM Beta testers needed.

Future plans Perfect the strategy calculation : - delta phi, exposure time estimate, sample to detector distance, beamstop position - export strategy to Blu-ice Possibility to rank the crystals - Heuristic score from Labelit/DISTIL results? (Experiments are needed!) Experiment control User input appreciated!

What does it look like?
