What are herbaceous plants? 1. Plants that do not develop woody material e.g. Sedum, Iris 2. Summer/Autumn – flower and give colour 3. Winter – die back and are in dormant state at or below ground level 4. Spring – produce new stems and leaves 5. Herbaceous plants can withstand winter frost and damp
