What is CREW? The Centre of Expertise for Waters A partnership between the James Hutton Institute and all Scottish Higher Education Institutes Funded by the Scottish Government Ensuring that water research and knowledge is available and accessible to the Scottish Government and its agencies

What is CREWs role? Deliver timely and accurate advice to the Scottish Government, Scottish Water and SEPA Co-ordinate research, analysis and interpretation Stimulate future innovative thinking Provide impartial, concise information and readable briefings Be seen as an honest, trusted and effective hub for knowledge exchange about water from source to sea Shorten “path length” between, policy, industry and research

Who is CREW? Led by the James Hutton Institute in a partnership with all Scottish Higher Education Institutions Contributing partners receive CREW funding to carry out analysis in response to policy and practice needs The Marine Alliance for Science and Technology (MASTS) at St Andrews University facilitates the involvement of Scottish Higher Education Institutions SAGES, MASTS, NTI and IHP-HELP Dundee are partner networks Over 50 academic experts in natural, social and engineering sciences are registered with CREW
