TITLE I Strong focus on parental notification and involvement, particularly as it relates to: Ensuring that high quality academic assessments, accountability systems, teacher preparation and training, curriculum, and instructional materials are aligned with challenging State academic standards so that students, teachers, parents and administrators can measure progress against common expectations for student academic achievement; and Affording parents substantial and meaningful opportunities to participate in the education of their children Title I, Part A is a federally funded program under the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965 The purpose of Title I is to ensure that all children have a fair, equal, and significant opportunity to obtain a high quality education and reach, at a minimum, proficiency on challenging state academic achievement standards and state academic assessments CROSS CREEK IS A SCHOOL-WIDE TITLE I SCHOOL!

CROSS CREEK CURRICULUM: Common Core Georgia Performance Standards in all academic areas ASSESSMENTS: Iowa Test of Basic Skills(ITBS) Georgia Milestone replaces the CRCT Benchmark Test Easy CBM Screeners (reading, math & writing fluency)

Cross Creek To ensure that parents are in formed about Cross Creek, we send our School Improvement Plan and Parental Involvement Policy home with each student and ask parents for feedback/suggestions on each of those policies.

Parent Involvement Opportunities Parent Conferences Volunteering Policy Revision Meetings Workshops/Activities Parents can also contact the Principal, Mr. Clay Stanaland or Nancy Rogers, Parent Involvement Coordinator to give input that supports or enhances the academic experiences of every child.
