-R&D and Technical excellence NTNU and SINTEF have a long experience in - R&D on software and safety - participation in EU and ARTEMIS projects -ASP: Methods and Processes for Safety-relevant Embedded Systems -Market innovation and impact Agile development gets increasingly important needs supported by a tool-chain

- NTNU and SINTEF have together, developed the IEC compliant agile software development process SafeScrum -The proposed project will extend SafeScrum to include -Process plug-ins and support tools for Rail, Aerospace, Automotive -Firmware and hardware development -Formal methods

- Consortium status SINTEF: development and certification of safety-critical software, process development and improvement NTNU: safety assessment, software process improvement -Missing capabilities and/or partners Formal methods in software development Firmware and hardware development Tool developers and providers
