Main Survey Methods are: For large agricultural organizations and peasant (farm) enterprises – continuous method on the basis of the form of annual state statistical accounting; For population households – annual cluster sampling on the basis of questionnaire.

Statistical Survey Program for Large Agricultural Organizations and Peasant (Farm) Enterprises quantity of mineral fertilizers in terms of 100% of nutrients used for crops, perennial plants, haylands and pastures, in protected area – total and by types of fertilizers: nitrogen, phosphoric, potash; balance of mineral fertilizers – total and by types of fertilizers; balance of pesticides– total and by types of pesticides.

Summary Data are Generated across the Republic in whole and Administrative Regions on quantity of applied mineral fertilizers: per one hectare of agricultural lands; per one hectare of croplands; per one hectare of crop area for cereals and pulse crops, potatoes, vegetables, sugar beet, flax, feed crops; per one hectare of fertilized area of perennial plant, haylands and pastures.

Balance of mineral fertilizers (reserves of mineral fertilizers as of the beginning and the end of reporting period, incoming, use, losses) – total and by types of fertilizers: nitrogen, phosphoric, potash Balance of pesticides (reserves of pesticides as of the beginning and the end of reporting period, incoming, use) – total and by types: insecticides, herbicides, fungicides and disinfectants.

Cluster Sampling of Agricultural Activities of Population Households performed regularly from July 1, 2011 and covers 3,600 private households, or 0.3% out of all households; results of cluster sampling show that 99.5% of households use mineral fertilizers.
