Terrific Tuesday Look at the agenda. What are you excited about? What are you unsure about? What are you most excited about? What are you unsure about?

Picture Yourself! Baby PictureNow pictureFuture picture

Cooperation Cooperation is to work together towards a common goal or purpose to get something done. Working with cooperation can change the outcome of a situation. We use cooperation to help us learn more as well as help others learn.

Cooperation Looks likeFeels like –Sounds like–Draw a picture of cooperation

Conceptual Key Point Change is to transform a person, place, thing or behavior into something new or different. Understanding that change never ends, helps us adjust to ups and downs of events in our world.

Change Reflection How did your area of the room change? What other areas did you see change? Do you like the changes? Why or why not? What is your favorite change?

Picture Puzzle Piece One picture puzzle piece Lyin’ on the sidewalk, One picture puzzle piece Soaking in the rain. It might be a button of blue On the coat of the woman Who lived in a shoe. It might be a magical bean, Or a fold in the red Velvet robe of a queen. It might be the one little bite Of the apple her stepmother Gave to Snow White. It might be the veil of a bride Or a bottle with some evil genie inside. It might be a small tuft of hair On the big bouncy belly Of Bobo the bear. It might be a bit of the cloak Of the Witch of the West As she melted to smoke. It might be a shadowy trace Of a tear that runs down an angel’s face. Nothing has more possibilities Than one old wet picture puzzle piece.

Picture Puzzle Piece Trace your puzzle piece below and change in into a different picture.

Reflection What wilted for you today? What grew for you today?

We Are Ready To Go Wednesday! Write the smart you did last night and how you changed it. Be ready to share in town hall meeting. Smart: How did you change it?

Sibley Pond Promise I promise to stay with my group at all times and use the LIFESKILL of cooperation to complete my learning tasks. I promise to use all of my Lifelong Guidelines and LIFESKILLS so that I can participate in all activities. I promise to take care of myself, others, and the place I visit. I promise to use respect when talking to my leaders and friends. Student Signature ______________________

Sibley Pond Procedures Stay with your “star” group. Follow the directions of the park ranger at each area. Take two pictures and give the camera to the next person on your list. Use cooperation while you are working with your group. Enjoy your time at the pond!

Learning Tasks How did you use Cooperation? How did you CHANGE something today? How many fish did you catch? Why do these fish need the water to be a certain pH? What affects the pH? How many macro invertebrates did you find? Why are they important to our native plants?

Key Point Native plants of Georgia are important to our area. They grow well because they get the correct temperature, water amounts and the soil and water pH is natural to this area. When non-native plants change an area, native plants are unable to grow which is harmful to the animals that need those plants.

Immersion area What ideas do you have for the immersion area? What does the pond look like when native plants and animals are there? What does the pond look like when non- native plants are there? Brainstorm here!

Reflection What wilted for you today? What grew for you today?

Thinking Thursday Our LIFESKILL of focus this week is Cooperation. Think about these questions and be ready to share in town hall meeting. 1. How did you use the LIFESKILL of cooperation on our “being there experience”? 2. How did your friends use the LIFESKILL of cooperation? 3. How did you use your LIFESKILL of cooperation in your “smarts” homework? 4. How else have you used your LIFESKILL of cooperation?

Questions for the Park Ranger Questions about why native plants are important in our area and how the animals depend on them.

How did it change? Sibley Pond pH Temperature Soil Sope Creek Elementary pH Temperature Soil

Narrative Writing There are many type of writing because there are many purposes for writing. One kind of writing is narrative writing. We use narrative writing when we want to tell an imaginative story or to share a personal experience.

Social/Action Plan How can we tell people about how important native plants and animals are to this area? IdeasProject needs

Reflection What wilted for you today? What grew for you today?

Fantastic Friday What has been your favorite activity this week? Write a narrative piece telling us what your favorite activity was this week.
