Ways to Improve It When coming across an unfamiliar word, do not just skip over it. Circle it and try to define it (especially when close reading). Use Context Clues

During Reading When defining the words, every time you close read, you will have to write what the context clue tells you about the word. THEN, you write down the definition.

What does this mean when Close Reading? Add this to Task #2. You will write down the context clue definition and then the actual USABLE definition.
