Dinner Table Setting

Don’t Panic

1 st course Unfold Napkin Use outside fork/spoon for salad or soup When you’re done:  Place fork on right side of plate  Place spoon on plate below the bowl

Bread & Drinks Bread – top left Drinks – top right Water glass is the largest. Red wine – wider rim B & D hand trick

Main Course Dinner fork/knife are closest to your dinner plate.

Dessert Spoon and fork at the head of your dinner plate When you’re done with the meal: Fold napkin loosely and place it beside your plate

Other tips

Wait for a signal from your host/hostess Don’t reach out across the table – just ask Don’t chew with your mouth open – gross & dangerous Ladies: place your bags on the floor or between you and the seat’s back, not on the table.
