The Vision…. Spanish Steps is an educational brand that takes the consumer on a vinous journey through Spain's lesser known wine regions within Castilla y Leon. The Spanish Steps vision was to handpick some of the best, and unique wines within this relatively unknown area and create a fresh and exciting new brand. SPANISH STEPS BIERZO Bronze medal Decanter Awards 2013 “Spanish Steps Mencia Bierzo, Spain - From northwest Spain, this varietal Mencia (known as Jaen in Portugal) really delivers. Deep coloured, it has a lovely vibrant, pure nose of summer fruits with a plummy edge. Fruit dominates, but there’s nice definition here. The palate is juicy and ripe with lovely bright blackberry and damson character, as well as fresh acidity. SPANISH STEPS RUEDA 75% Verdejo & 25% Sauvignon Blanc “Spanish Steps Rueda : I'm a great fan of the Verdejo grape. I love it's intense lemony excitement. It gives us a rich and juicy mix of ripe aromas fused well into a broad and yet well structured palate. It's fabulous stuff.” Kevin Alcock Decanter 2011 – Bronze medal Right: Winemaker Javier Rodriguez, he believes in Biodynamic viticulture, and he works hard to showcase these aromatic white grape varieties to their highest quality.

SPANISH STEPS TORO From the ultra-modern Monte La Reina winery, this Toro wine is full of character and flavour yet frighteningly easy to drink. 100% Tempranillo (known here as Tinto de Toro) “Spanish Steps Toro 2012 Wonderfully bright, fresh, pure raspberry and dark cherry fruit with a bit of grip. SPANISH STEPS ARRIBES The Arribes region lies on the 'International Douro/Duero', right next to the Portuguese border. The high altitude vineyards and fine granite and quartz soils give a fresh mineral quality to the wines. 100% Juan Garcia The Juan Garcia grape holds sway here. High in acidity it is perfect for making delicious red wine with freshness and brilliant red-fruit character. This wine has a gentle touch of oak from French oak barrels.

SPANISH STEPS RIBERA DEL DUERO Silver Medal Decanter Awards 2013 The Ribera de Duero is a wild, chunky red wine with bright Autumn fruit and velvety soft tannins. The most recently launched of the Spanish Steps range this is an exciting red wine made from 100% Tempranillo.
