IN LOVING MEMORY OF MY TWO CRABS HERMIENIPPER

CONTENTS PAGE CHAPTER 1 What is a Hermit Crab? CHAPTER 2 Why would you pick a Hermit Crab for a pet? CHAPTER 3 How do you look after a Hermit Crab?

CHAPTER 1 WHAT IS A HERMIT CRAB?

A hermit crab is a crab with a shell on it. Crabs have eight legs. Crabs have two claws called pincers. Crabs can run sideways. Crabs live in hard sells

CHAPTER 2 WHY WOULD YOU PICK A HERMIT CRAB FOR A PET?

CHAPTER 3 HOW DO YOU LOOK AFTER A HERMIT CRAB?

CHAPTER 3 1. THEY NEED A CRAB-ITAT! A crab-itat is a house for your hermit crab. What you need to make a crab house: 1.An enclosure (we used a glass fish tank). 2.A bigger shell than your hermit crabs shell because crabs might change houses. This is called molting when they grow up. 3.Your crab needs a hiding spot to hide in when it is scared. We used a chopped log. 4.Water sponge and food bowl. 5.Twigs, leaves, rocks and sand to make your crab feel at home.

CHAPTER 3 2. BATH TIME FOR YOUR HERMIT CRAB Step 4: Gently put your crab in the water. Step 3: Stir until dissolved. Step 1: Measure 1 cup of crab water Step 2: 1 tablespoon of sea salt.
