The world’s largest aquarium

6.3 Million gallons of water This Wave Generator fills up and spills water into the tank every 2 minutes to produce oxygen in the aquarium. The salinity of the water is ppt. The largest tank contains 6.3 million gallons of salt water.

The ceiling is equipped with windows and lights to allow in radiation and ultraviolet light. This produces photosynthes is and phytoplankto n for the coral reef and its inhabitants % is live corals in 77˚F water.

All of the water in the Georgia Aquarium is recycled and reused

The Wave Generator dumps water here.

Life cycle of a jelly fish

The Japanese Spider-Crab This crab grows to be 12ft 6in long and weigh 41lbs, making it have the largest leg span of any arthropod. This crab can live up to 100yrs old.

The clown fish and the sea anemone depend on each other for survival.

The Whale Shark can grow to be 41.5ft long and weigh up to 36tons. In its natural habitat, the Whale Shark survives off of plankton blooms, algae, krill, squid and occasionally schools of fish. The largest whale at Georgia Aquarium is called Trexie.
