Montana Instruments Company Introduction

Company Background The company founder, Luke Mauritsen, started the Cryostation product development in Luke’s background is primarily in cryogenic optical applications for military and space applications. His experiences led him to create a solution that would eliminate the frustrations he found in the lab.

Company Mission To develop innovative, high performance cryogenic research systems To simplify cryogenic laboratory instruments so the researcher to concentrate on research, not equipment operation To provide reliable cryogenic “cores”

Our Solution – The Cryostation

Benefits / Features Unparalleled sample stability which enables new experiments – 5nm peak to peak vibration typical – 10mK peak to peak temp variation Easy sample access which makes setup and modification much simpler Automated control which allows the user to concentrate on the real research

Applications Materials Research Microscopy, AFM, SNOM Spectroscopy – Raman, Mossbauer, FT-IR Magnetic Studies – MOKE, Spintronics X-Ray and Neutron Scattering Studies Pressure Cells …

Flexibility

Key Technologies Cold finger linkage is 15x more conductive than OFHC copper Unique vibration isolation architecture New thermal damping compound which acts like a thermal capacitor Complete automation with cool down sequence, built in calibrations and active thermal damping using closed loop control

In closing… We’re excited about the future! We’d love to learn more about your applications (406)
