‘Show me your way, O Lord!’ (click the mouse to view the next slide)

“Man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.” -- Matthew 4:4 First week of Lent - Let us pray for the spirit of repentance. “The shortest and almost the only way to achieve sanctity is to have a horror for all which the world loves and embraces...” (i.e. its materialistic, secularistic and atheistic ways.) - St. Ignatius of Loyola

Second week of Lent - Let us pray for the grace to respond to the Word of God. “This is my Son, the Beloved. Listen to him.” Listen to him.” -- Mark 9:8 “Seek the presence of God in all things, in conversation with others in walking, in looking, in tasting, in hearing, in understanding and all that we do, since it is a fact that His divine majesty is everywhere by His presence, power and essence.” - St. Ignatius of Loyola

“Anyone who drinks the water that I shall the water that I shall give will never thirst again, the water that I shall give will turn into a spring inside him, welling up to eternal life.” -- John 4:14 -- John 4:14 Third week of Lent - Let us pray for confidence in the love of God and the strength to overcome all our weakness. “He who remembers the presence of God is less open to other thoughts, especially bad thoughts... In two ways the presence of God is an antidote against sin. First because God sees us, and secondly, because we see God.” - St Ignatius of Loyola

“He shall feed His flock like a shepherd: He shall gather the lambs with His arms, And carry them in His bosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young.” -- Isaiah 40:11 -- Isaiah 40:11 Fourth week of Lent - Let us pray that by growing in love, we may bring the peace of Christ to our world. “The man who has God in his heart carries paradise within him.” St Ignatius of Loyola

Lent is a “joyful season of the year” that challenges us to renew our faith, hope and love for Our Lord. Listen to His voice of compassion, forgiveness and love in all your daily experiences... (if you don’t hear Him, you are not listening hard enough; if you don’t see Him, you are not looking hard enough; if you don’t feel Him, you are not attentive enough... So, listen more, look more and love more intently this Lent! God loves you as you are.)
