 Leonardo Da Vinci was one of the greatest artists of the Renaissence  Leonardo was born in 1452 in Vinci,Florence  His talent was first recognised by his father when he painted a remarkable monster on a piece of wood.  Leonardo had many talents such as sculpting, philosphy, science yet he was most famous for his paintings.

 Leonardo had many famous Patrons but the best known ones would be Lorenzo di Medici and Ludovico Sforza.  Leonardo painted a lot of paintings some are hardly known of while others are under 24- hour protection.

 Leonardo was taught to paint by Andrea del Verrochio.  His first real painting was one of an angel in the corner of one of Verrochio’s paintings Verrochio taught Leonardo was such a good artist that he stopped painting for ever.

 The Mona Lisa is one of Leonardo’s most famous paintings. It is a painting of the wife of Francesco del Giocondo

 The Last Supper is a painting done on a wall in Santa Maria Delle Grazie. It was flaked badly as Leonardo used a paint mixed with water. Later the monks cut a hole through the bottom of it

 This is a painting based on something similiar to Leonardo da Vinci’s.

 In the Mona Lisa Da Vinci is showing humanism in the way that there is nothing special about person except that it is of the governers wife  You can also see his likeliness of shade as under her neck you can see it is dark and like a shadow.  In the Last Supper Da Vinci is going back to religious events.

 Da Vinci also had great ideas on flight.  Here is some of his plans

 Leonardo was also interested in science and his main interest was the study of anatomy  Anatomy is the study of the human body  Leonardo actually admitted to dissecting 30 human corpses.

 Leonardo da Vinci’s amazing life finally ended while he was in France.
