On this day in history, December 1, 1990, 132 feet below the English Channel, workers drill an opening the size of a car through a wall of rock. It connected the two ends of an underwater tunnel linking Great Britain with the European mainland for the first time in more than 8,000 years.

Today’s weather is partly cloudy with a high of 61 degrees.

Don’t forget to recycle your milk cartons during lunch.

Today’s lunch is popcorn chicken with roll, steamed carrots, and diced pears. Today’slunch specials are buffalo chicken pizza and hot dog on a bun.

Tomorrow’s lunch is teriyaki beef nuggets with roll, mashed potatoes with gravy and pineapple tidbits. Tomorrow’s lunch specials are meat lovers pizza and hot buffalo chicken sandwich.
