Habit 4 “Think Win-Win”

Underlying Principle Effective long term relationships require mutual benefits. This habit is also a mental state of mind! Foundation of getting along with others

Key Processes Balance courage and consideration in seeking mutual benefit Persist in looking for win win outcomes despite past win-lose conditioning

Avoid the Tumor Twins Competing: healthy when you strive to do better and become your best, but unhealthy when you tie your self worth into winning, or use it as a way to place yourself above others.

COMPARING Life is like an obstacle course. Each person has their own course, separated from every other course by tall walls. Your course comes complete with customized obstacles designed specifically for your personal growth. So what good does it do to climb the wall to see how well your neighbors is doing or to check out his obstacles in comparison to your own?
