 Vincennes was a point protecting a major water route from British Canada to the Mississippi river

 Kaskia and Vincennes had a lot of British power  On February 23,1779 Clark captured a British prisoner who gave the Americans tons of information  George Rogers Clark asked Colonel Hamilton to surrender and he did  Colonel Hamilton had a nickname which was “hair buyer”
