Hannibal Alkhas, Painter A distinguished member of the Christian community in Iran. Son of the Assyrian writer Rabi Adai Alkhas. Studied, taught, and exhibited his work worldwide Teaches in Azad University in Iran. Runs his private art classes. Writes regularly as an art critic.

Hannibal Alkhas, Alkhas’ paintings blend mythology and Persian literature with Muslim and Judeo- Christian themes. They also demonstrate his attention to social and political issues.

Hannibal Alkhas, He blends eastern and western themes as well as plant, human and animal worlds. His paintings are often very large. Alkhas is a popular figure often inter- viewed in the Iranian press.
